WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF HIPPOHOSE WASHING MACHINE HOSES?

The Interior Diameter of all our washing machine hoses is 10mm with a 3/4" connector fitting.

They are made of 304 stainless steel.

WHAT ARE THE HOSE CERTIFICATIONS FOR HIPPOHOSE?

They are UPC CERTIFIED and AB 1953 LEAD FREE. Products are in compliance with NSF/ANSI 61-2018.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY WASHING MACHINE HOSES?

Washing machines are found in almost every household throughout
America. Did you know that a majority of homes flooding is due to faulty washing machine hoses? Due to the costs, insurance companies are now requiring homeowners to have AT LEAST 1500psi burst proof hoses. It is recommended washing machine hoses should be replaced every 3-5 years. Doing so will prevent future issues and insurance companies failing to pay for claims.

HOW LONG DO WASHING MACHINE HOSES LAST?

It is recommended people change their washing machine hoses every 3-5 years. Some homeowners even take extra precaution and replace them yearly. There are many factors which cause a hose to burst - corrosion, bad connection, wrong length, and quality.

WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN A WASHING MACHINE HOSE?

QUALITY: Make sure the hoses are at least 1500psi burst proof. We offer stainless steel + PVC coated, depending on your needs.

CERTIFICATIONS: Make sure the hoses are AB 1953 LEAD FREE and UPC Certified.

SIZE: Hoses come in different lengths. Know how long you need and if your washer may benefit from a 90 degree elbow. Some washing machines need to be flush to the wall, while others are located further from the water source. Measure before you buy.

WHAT ABOUT A NEW WASHING MACHINE?

It is simple to determine when a washing machine is ready to be
replaced, but what about the hoses? Should you keep your old hoses when you replace your washing machine? Washing machine hoses should be changed every 3-5 years OR with the purchase of a new washer. YES, you should replace the hoses when you buy a new washer. The standard washing machine hoses - if they come with your new unit - may not be up to compliance or include washer hoses.

WHY DO I NEED TO REPLACE MY WASHER HOSE?

Washing machine hoses need replaced frequently to avoid bursting or leaks. Especially if you purchase a house where the washer and dryer are included. The previous owner may/may not have hoses up to compliance. If you are renting, make sure you contact the owner to ensure your hoses are compliant.

WHY DOES THE ICE AND WATER COMING FROM OUR REFRIGERATOR TASTE LIKE PLASTIC??

With installment of any new ice maker and ice maker hose, we recommend flushing your hose and ice maker system with vinegar & water several times, along with filling up your ice bucket and dumping the first 1-2 batches. This will help flush the line and remove any impurities.

Our ice maker hoses have a NSF/ANSI 61 certification.
